The International Baccalaureate, or IB, is an alternative to A-Levels which is increasingly adopted by some schools. The qualification is highly respected by universities, both domestically as well as internationally. Research carried out by ACS International Schools reveals that an IB Diploma is the most revered post-16 qualification among university admissions officers. Its increasing popularity with schools and students is therefore unsurprising and indicative of a possible shift towards increased numbers studying for this qualification.
The course is a challenging two-year curriculum, which allows students to study a broader range of subjects compared to A-Levels. It comprises three subjects at standard level and three subjects at higher level. This translates to a greater choice of potential courses and careers when applying to university.
Our tutors have an unrivalled understanding of the structure of the International Baccalaureate. Why? Because we only hire tutors that have sat the IB themselves, and are therefore best placed to prepare students to achieve their desired grades.
